THIS MIGHT BE A LONG READ BUT (I BELIEVE)ITS WORTH IT
For all religious and non religious people:
question
if God is love and a merciful father, why does He allow suffering? why does He allow wars to continue? why does He allow sickness?
In His omnipotence and His love, surely He would wish His children the very best? and then surely He would not be jealous?
If Christ supposedly died for our sins, why must we still suffer?
How can a loving father allow his children, created in His image, to experience pain and sorrow and hunger and poverty?
How much "proof" does a truly loving father need from his children that he does not torment them with suffering?
We are expected as parents to be loving, forgiving, and nurturing at all times otherwise we would not be good parents why is the same measure not taken against God, who supposedly created all of creation?
and of whom we are therefore children in that sense and where is the mother?
Why is there only the father and no mother?
Why is God called a jealous god in the Bible? Why would God be jealous? of whom or what? A jealous father?
While here a father who makes his children suffer and who is jealous of his children would be called a narcissist
Why is it said that we do not understand the reasons for the "mystery"? Why do we seem not to be allowed to understand?
If my child does something really wrong, then we talk about it.
And if my child is honest, then my love for my child outweighs any potential "need" to punish them.
Punishing someone for their actions can scare them and make them bend. But the root is not touched. It is even said, and I support this, that open communication, involvement, and seeing the good sides of the child is better than just punishment.
Besides that why are wars still being waged in the name of God? Why do priests bless their country's soldiers before they go to fight? Which god is behind that then?
A loving father?
Why must we as human beings still suffer for something that was , according to the Bible, once caused by two people and a snake?
If my ancestors did something wrong, must I still be punished for it?
then I come with the question: which god(s) are we speaking of here? loving? merciful? forgiving? nurturing?
I am proud of my child when he surpasses me in qualities why does this god have so much trouble with that?
How is it possible that God also created Satan? who was apparently an angel first, but was cast out of heaven because he wanted to be equal to God
As the almighty creator of all life, surely you ought to stand far above jealousy and view your creations/children as friends and equals because they originate from you
If God is jealous because of the potential worship/love towards other gods (fathers), it still doesn't explain why.
If my child also loves other motherly people, who am I to be jealous of that?
I can offer protection in the sense of, once again, open communication with my child and see if those other mothers have my child's best interests at heart just as much.
But to get angry at that child... why? In my opinion, a child doesn't have to worship his parents anyway.
Love them, yes.
Appreciate them, yes.
Respect them, yes.
Provided they are worthy of that respect.
And then we come back to unconditional love.
But never punish coldly and callously. Or make them suffer.
For my sake.
I cannot wrap my heart around the fact that a loving father or mother could have reasons to let his/her children suffer.
Let them go hungry
Almost wish them damnation if they do not meet my personal expectations
Knowing that they originate from me That what I do therefore also has an effect on them
My daughter often wondered: Mom, if God also made the devil... how does that work?
Why was he called the devil if his father had made him?
Was that the free will that God had given?
But how can he be evil if he originated from God?
Isn't God all goodness?
What had happened then?
And if this angel became the devil, then surely that must have been within God as well, if God is the almighty creator of all life?
Where else does evil come from?
And which god/gods do we pray to
Why does God need worship?
Is love not enough?
pure love commitment
And striving to do it right every day?
To understand each other even though we do not always understand each other
Wishing each other the best
Wishing this world Peace Who sustains the wars?
Do we do that, as humanity? And if so, what or who prevents us from Stopping these wars?
Lack of insight?
Lack of compassion?
Or is there Much more going on that keeps the incredible madness raging? Far beyond our current brain capacity
Do we truly see reality, or are we being presented with an image that keeps us in a box of beliefs that do not originate from within ourselves?
That do not reflect true reality.
As humanity, we have already come a long way in terms of technology
Yet it seems that at this moment, technology is becoming a new god....
That drags us along into a pre-packaged scenario
Where our Heart consciousness is increasingly absent ..
Where we prefer to look at the images shown on the screen rather than experiencing things Ourselves Outside that box
